Stocks of fresh Bramley are currently 16% lower than last year when there was insufficient supply to meet demand in full to the end of the season. Sales of fresh Bramley are currently 11% lower than at this time last year. However, there will still be insufficient stock to meet demand in full for sales of fresh apple to the end of the season. The situation will vary dependent upon the supplier and we recommend that customers should keep in close contact with their suppliers and adjust their sales strategies accordingly.
No doubt everyone is aware that almost all of the supplies of Bramley for the processing market have already been fully committed and regrettably the situation is unlikely to change until the start of next season.
